Benediction. Martyn Lloyd-Jones is considered one of the greatest preachers of the 20th century. Iain Murray’s two-volume biography of him captivated me as a young Christian who was discovering Reformed theology. Listen to this 46-second clip of Lloyd-Jones pronouncing the benediction at the end of a service at Westminster Chapel in London on January 6, 1963.

Gentle and Lowly: A 14 Day Podcast. This new daily podcast is for anxious and discouraged Christians. In each roughly 4 minute episode, Dane Ortlund, author of Gentle and Lowly: The Heart of Christ for Sinners and Sufferers (which I haven’t read) and the devotions included in the ESV Devotional Psalter (which Stephanie and I love!), shares a brief Scripture reading and a devotional meditation on a different aspect of the heart of Christ. He aims to help you “discover afresh not just what Jesus has done for you but how he feels about you as his beloved.” This looks very promising!

Surprised by Suffering. A free teaching series by R.C. Sproul. From the Ligonier Ministries website: “In this series, Dr. R.C. Sproul addresses the most difficult struggle in human experience: the problem of pain. He shows us that God is involved in our suffering and reminds us that a time is coming when there will be no more pain, death, or sadness.”

The Biggest Story Animated Short Film.
