Ministry:

• David is participating in ministry preaching regularly at Església Evangèlica de Vilassar de Mar (Evangelical Church of Vilassar de Mar), serving there alongside Steve Phillips and Matt Leighton. The village of Vilassar de Mar is located about 25 minutes north of Barcelona, and the church has about 70 people in attendace every Sunday morning.
• As a daughter church of Vilassar de Mar, the Barcelos are also engaged in planting a church in Barcelona, the Iglesia Evangélica de la Gracia (Grace Evangelical Church). The area where the church plant effort is taking place is called Sant Andreu, a neighborhood of 50.000 people where the Barcelos live. Sant Andreu used to be a village outside Barcelona about 100 years ago, but Barcelona grew and it became a neighborhood of the big city. A small group of believers started meeting at the Barcelos home in May 2005. For a couple of years the group was moving from one place to another until a nearby Charismatic church is allowing them to use their facilities on Sunday evening. The church in Barcelona is now holding 6 pm Sunday evening services with an attendance of about 20-30 people.
• Biblical Counseling is one of David’s passions and it is their desire to spread out Biblical Counseling also in Spain. So far David has been teaching Biblical Counseling in different areas of Spain and already several pastors and churches have embraced a pastoral view of doing counseling. David and Elisabet also counsel in a regular basis in their office in Barcelona.
• Besides training others in Biblical Counseling David has been asked to participate as a professor of Evangelism in the Colegio Biblico de la Gracia (Grace Bible School).

• for the church in Vilassar de Mar and for God’s wisdom for Steve, Matt and David.
• for their testimony among friends, neighbors and relatives. Please pray specifically for the unbelievers attending our services: for Juan Carlos, Eva, Elvira, Tomás, Susie, Luis and others, for the Lord to open teir hearts so they believe.
• for Biblical Counseling to extend in Spain, and Spanish Christians to find in Scripture all they need for life and godliness.
• Give thanks for the completion of David’s doctoral thesis and his graduation from Westminster Theological Seminary.
• Give thaks to the Lord for the great privilege of serving Him in our own nation.
